Alright! Updates for the past few days
Saturday:
Didn't know that I was going to be jie mei for my cousin until my auntie asked my mum about it. OOPS~~~~~~ It wasn't really clear to me too....
Had the wedding dinner at sentosa golf club. The freaking place is damn posh and they serve in individual portions!! This is the first wedding dinner I have attended so far that serve food in individual portions. The food is of quite a good standard and I simply love the mango pudding (also a first of a kind dessert for me in wedding dinners)They also had young asparagus in one of the dishes. I'm really glad that this is not my friend's wedding or else the ang bao I need to give will need to be damn big lors!!!
I also wore my super high shoes that day and the most most most HIP thing that happened that day was.......
MY FAMILY went St James with my cousins!!!! we went to dragonfly but the songs are abit retro retro kind. The chinese songs are LIVE but they were popular even before my parents were born or maybe too young. WAs sitting down all the way cause I was wearing the super high shoes so can't dance at all..... Stayed there for around one hour before my bro send us home (cause he had a movie appointment so we can't explore all the places) BOOHOO!!!!!!! But the fact that my parents went to St James still stuns me abit... I have a crazy FAMILY and I love it!
Sunday:
Started working at John little and have to wake up damn early lor (remember that I was at St James the previous night!!!) Was 5 mins late cause I was waiting at the entrance (DAMN STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!) until I decided to go to the back to check whether there's a staff entrance. Due to the fact that I was late, I didn't get to hear all the things from the briefing. Was quite lost cause I don't know anything (obviously) and just looking at other people doing the float in. Alot of situations happened as I am not really used to doing cashiering. Had lunch alone at BK cause the senior pack her own lunch from home. Just going to BK, I spent more than my hourly pay. It's frankly quite shitty if you think it that way!!! After that, had a customer was complaining about us (me and the senior) for working very slow (OBVIOUSLY!!!!!!! THIS IS MY FREAKING FIRST DAY LEHS!!!)
BUT!!!!! someone special(SS) came to find me to have dinner. We had dinner at john silver (CHEAPER than BK) and I headed back to work. SS even waited for me till I end work. Really quite touched actually but I was in a foul mood as my toes were aching like siao. In the end, I realised that it's because the shoes were too small (cause feet will expand after standing and walking for some time). Actually, I'm suppose to buy another pair of shoes But I don't really wanna bother since it's only a two weeks kind of thing!!
Monday:
More clear about what's happening in the morning although I still can't do it by myself. Had lunch alone cause different time slots from other people. There were two customers that left quite a deep impression to me.
Firstly, is a lady that wanted to ask whether there are a certain brand available at other outlets. I really REALLY wanted to help but I don't know that to dial landline, I must press 9 first... so I couldn't help much. In the end, she is quite pissed (cause it's really quite a simple thing to do but unfortunately I don't know how to) and I asked her to go to the customer service cause I think they would be more clear. After a while, she came back to buy the ties and I think she had given up on JL totally from her tone as she was telling me that the customer service can't help much too.
Next, its a young guy who was asking for eau de toilette for a certain brand and I REALLY cannot hear him and ask him to repeat. He repeated but I still can't hear so I just tell him that everything is at that area. He asked me whether I understood what he meant then I said, no.... Despite knowing that, he asked me to check whether there is atock for the thing which I didn't even know. I wonder why he didn't ask me whether I have stock for this (pointing at the sample DIRECTly) It will definitely help me in understanding what he meant.
Additionally, don't keep returning stuff lehs.... damn ma fan de lehs....
;p just joking
I think it's a good experience to get although I felt quite useless after the first day.... haiz.....

Went to eat japanese cold soba today, still taste as good as before. Maybe will go down more often in the future since it's quite near. The raw salmon is fresh too.
going to work soon too....at last got money le. keke..... if you guys want to visit me, just msn me to know the location. :D Maybe I could even meet clarissa for lunch some time. heehee....
I also just realised that cashiering isn't as simple as I thought at least in john little. There is freaking a lot of vouchers, cards and valueplus points to be given to customers. Really pray that I am able to get customers that are reasonable and don't ask funny questions. It's only two weeks so let's hope for the best for me!
You may get rants from me in the next two weeks so just bear with me.

basically still slacking at home right now. maybe going for the john little interview later and hope that I can earn some money. If I managed to got through, you guys must come and find me hor!!!!! Prolly want to get the one at ps cause I love town. WHAHAHAHA...... actually the one at woodlands is nearer to my house. *consider consider*
Just watched an anime named bartender. Actually, I'm always fascinated by alcohol (since young) and the anime brought it to another level altogether. I don't think I would mind being a bartender in singapore in the future (though I really want to exclude to throwing of the bottle) Or maybe I would start having my own bar lounge in my future home. The layering of alcohol is just plain fascinating. I wonder why did I even want to study life science (okay okay!!!! let me clarify that I didn't regret it except for the job searching part X| I STILL LOVE LIFE SCIENCE!!!!!!) hahaha....
I totally miss my margarita at cafeiguana and really hope to get a drink from there soon but don't want to go alone lehs~~~~~ anyways, after the interview, I prolly will pop by for a drink or two. Miss my margarita!!!! with chips at one hand and margarita at the other, I am enjoying life totally.
Going to apply for visa soon!!! Jiayou jiayou!!!! travelling plans.... here I come.....

Reason for not blogging: My laptop was kidnapped to my new home. Having problems with wireless setup.
Result: Only my laptop can work in the house now. WHAHAHAHA.....
What happened from the time I last blogged:
Friday:
1) Got my results for the final semester. Didn't get to check it myself cause my laptop was kidnapped on 29th of May.
Satisfaction: None.
Reason: Didn't do well for the modules. Felt that I could have done better though.
2) Attempt to put make up since I am going into workforce soon.
Satisfaction: Not sure
Complains:
1-Look like I have been beaten up
Reason: Put on dark brown eyeshadows + black eyeliner (which kinda smurge for no apparent reason)
2-Look like those going to geylang
Reason: partly due to the clothes that I wore
3) Got a message from someone that I know of asking "how's suntec?" so I replied "it's okay :)"
Saturday:
Did up the cross stitch for the scorpio mini pillow. Haven't had a chance to take picture yet but I am damn proud of it. HAHAHAHA...... Went to my new house. hahaha..... My elder bro rented Indiana Jones (don't know which episode) just remembered that it was about a cult and the leader takes out the heart from the sacrifice. I remembered watching it when I was young as I was traumatised by the "taking out of heart" scene. Slept in new house.
Sunday: Went back to suntec since we were interested in the book exhibition but was terribly disappointed. Half of the exhibition was on children education kits and children books. Most of the other books were in chinese and the only place that caught our attention is times with a very small collection of books. Didn't get anything in the end and I think the exhibition shows that singaporeans adults no longer read english books since there is no longer a demand for english books in major book exhibition or they are too rich to want to go exhibition. Do find out the answer yourself.
Monday: Very bored so spent like 1 hour blogging in the midst of noisy polishing of the glass door.

Was sleepy throughout the day because I had to wake up early(like 8am?!!?!?!) to go to biopolis to get reagent and do a trial run at lab. I guess that god is strongly advising me to stop doing foolish things by sending horrendous huge rains to nus during lunchtime. Guess it's time to move on to find some proper temporary job. I personally find it hard to believe that it is that hard to find temp jobs although I admit that I am quite picky on what I want to work as. But ya..... I really don't work to work as tele surveyor, roadshows... erm basically sales because I don't like to persuade people to buy or fill up form. I mean, is it that hard to find office jobs like admin?!?!?! Haiz... suan liao le la... shall just continue to waste my time until the europe trip.
Things to do
1) Write resume!
Actually, that's the only thing to do so far.....
oh well... I guess I should be more explicit when writing future blogs because joanne knows my blog addie liaos!!! HAHAHAHA..... (as if I really care..... oops)

Yesterday went to the life science graduation dinner. Glad to be seated with yi hong and xiu wei cause I didn't think of who to seat with in the first place...... (you must be thinking that I am damn blur lor.... which I have to admit) Heehee..... Besides yi hong, xiu wei and me, there were another 4 guys that seated with us. Well..... I know the names of three of the guys through xiu wei and yi hong. Not very close that kind but know their names and went to ktv with two of them before. It was fun chatting with them and talking crap like don't wear white bikini or string bikini. HAHAHA...... (I guess it is hard to avoid such topics sometimes when you have more guys than girls)
I think the food was mediocre and the music is simply OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHO THE HELL WANTS TO LISTEN TO ALIEN SONGS when eating... they even got kitaro's songs playing.... I mean I like kitaro's songs but not in that kind of setting man! We didn't stay too long as there was no entertainment given and we think that they want to chase us out through usage of weird songs.
Initially, we thought of going to the bowling area because we heard that it's FREE!!!! However, upon reaching the destination, they told us it's for members only so we kinda gave up the idea of doing bowling (okay.... i know i know..... let me rectify that we didn't give up because we didn't have a choice to start with) The next plan was to go for ktv because xiu wei, yi hong and me are ktv fans!!!!! But we can't decide the location since everybody lives very far apart from one another SO we ALSO had to give up that idea. HAI>>>>>>>> Yi hong then suggested that we should do something extreme!!!! Ideas like watching R-rated shows, tamil shows, sentosa star gazing, clubbing and pubbing came up but unfortunately, all of them were rejected.... In the end, we decided to chill out at one friend's place and hopefully sing some ktv.. hahaa....
What greeted us was a golden retriever!!!!! And it is quite big in size.... I thought it was going to pound on everyone it sees because it seemed pretty excited when it sees us.... Was a little worried about that initially until we found out that he was quite a nice and obedient dog and only barked once throughout the time we were staying there. (pretty sure that it was a he) Although he had a DISTINCT smell on his body and his toy, it was quite bearable and the thought of getting a big size dog even came into my mind. (OH NO!!!!!!!!!!! chanting in my mind: I still love cats a lot!) Didn't really chill la cause I didn't touch a drop of water cause lazy to move..... But it was nice to just play abit of cards, talk abit, sing abit and play with dog.
A nice night and yi hong even send me back to my home! Really thanks a lot! Or else I think I will faint when I see the cab fee man~~~~ I shall also learn mahjong next time. kekee...... Really like this kind of gatherings!!!

异乡人 is a good book and I realised that I am really a Yi Su fan! HAHAHAHA........ If you are too bored (like me), you can read it. Hiak Hiak Hiak!!!!! The ending was kinda unexpected and the book made me ponder on the importance of relationship. Is it really that important? Is it really worth the effort to maintain a relationship? Sometimes, I really hope that I will be strong in this kind of thing. SHIT!!!!!!!!!! getting emotional again......
Anyway, I think I will start on 灵心。I hope it will be as good or even better than 异乡人.
Drank Choya today. It has been quite sometime since I drank choya. It still taste quite good but I felt that it was a little strong. Weird.... really don't know why I felt this way.

Finished two more agatha christie's books, namely One, Two, Buckle My Shoe + partners in crime. Although some may feel that agatha christie(AC) books are like for secondary school (which I also felt because I used to read AC's book during my secondary school), it was surprisingly captivating. (maybe due to the fact that I love detective stories) I really find that it's an easy read because I really hate to read books with cramped words + bombastic words. The pacing for both books are also alright although my preference would be One, two, buckle my shoe because Partners in crime is more of a collection of short stories. I would say that the former is quite a twist because I have correctly predicted the murderer for the first book that I read after watching the anime of AC's books. Guess there are more surprises awaiting for me~~~~
Starting on Yi Su's books AGAIN (guess must be TOO ENG LIAOS), 异乡人,or should I say half way through the story. It's quite exciting because I am guessing that the lead male character is an alien since that guy gives the female lead character weird flowers that the girl never seen before. i still don't know the ending (obviously) but then I think I am prolly right since I am a Yi Su fan. WHAHHAA...... Maybe I should start a Yi Su fan club and be the director of the fan club.
I may be starting on other stories that are introduced to me. For eg, the curious incident of the dog in the night time and short stories by Edgar Allan Poe (horror stories). I never really read horror stories before but I think it will be exciting.
p/s: I think too much time has given me too much imagination on EVEN stories!!!!! OMG...... I really should find a job soon and get my butt moving.

went through some rough patch recently and seriously considering whether I should continue on? I'm really quite confused as to what I should do. What difference does it make if I cry and if I don't cry, does that make me abnormal? Being faced with such dilemma, I don't know whether I should react logically or should I react in accordance to social norm.
I have made up my mind on going to uk. I hope I am able to find myself again in the midst of a different city. I hope that I will find the answer that I always wanted to know. I don't expect you to do anything. I just need some time to think over this again.

Information
Unhappiness in relationships, according to Dr. Gary Chapman, is often due to the fact that we speak different love languages. Sometimes we don't understand our partner's requirements, or even our own. We all have a "love tank" that needs to be filled in order for us to express love to others, but there are different means by which our tank can be filled, and there are different ways that we can express love to others.Take the quiz

It felt quite hollow when the exams finished. Not much to do, things to do, work to do.
Yesterday was quite a sad day cause my granny is hospitalised and that the doctors don't think they can do an operation on my granny due to her current condition. I felt upset because my granny is struggling to survive. My mum was also rather upset as she told me that time is not on my granny's side. She is also upset that her children (us la) didn't take time to go and visit my granny more often. Maybe I really did not do my part as a grandchild to go and visit her. Maybe I should just take out 2 hour to to visit my grandma. Maybe I should just not study for my exams and prepare for fyp presentation and thesis in order to see my grandma.
Maybe I really should have done that so that my mum will not be that upset.

oh gosh~~~~~ I think I have been in slacking mode ever since the fyp submission. Buck up buck up!!!!!!!!!
Anyways, there was a "more fruitful than normal" discussion yesterday on the quotes of Oscar Wilde. I must say that there are some that I don't really understand (mainly due to my limited vocab) but there were some that are very true and funny.
e.g
"I can resist anything but temptation."
"Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much."
The ability of words to mean so much with so few words is amazing.
Not forgetting the 成语 that we always have to remember when we were young.
Chinese rules! HAHAHA.......I think I siao already...
Food for thought: Why do you read novels? For the plot or style? I am in for the former category because I like reporter style (aka Dan Brown). I'm sure that if I continue to persevere in reading, I might start to appreciate the latter which adds more pleasure in reading.
I shall end this post with a quote that reflects singapore's education system
"We teach people how to remember, we never teach them how to grow" - Oscar Wilde
